Berlin’s coffee culture is vibrant, creative, and world-class. The Coffee Week Berlin Awards celebrate the coffee shops that set new standards in specialty coffee, inspire their communities, and shape the future of the industry.

Through expert evaluation and public voting, the awards highlight the people and places that make coffee such an essential part of Berlin life.

(Your) Favorite Coffee Shop

The Favorite Coffee Shop Award celebrates the cafés that have captured the hearts of Berlin’s coffee lovers. In a public vote on our website, visitors were invited to cast their vote for one of 10 coffee shops. With more than 1800 votes it was a huge success and exciting to see the outcome.

WINNER: Kiez Kaffee Kraf 
2nd place: Röststätte
3rd place: nothing out of the ordinary

Best Specialty Coffee Shop Award

The Best Specialty Coffee Shop Award celebrates the coffee shop offering the best experience, blending passion and precision. Judged by the quality of each brew and barista expertise to the ambiance and design – this award highlights the harmony of taste, skill, and atmosphere that defines the best specialty coffee.

WINNER: Kolo Coffee 
2nd place: Voo Deli
3rd place: Westberlin

Community Award

The Community Award honors the coffee shop that truly goes the extra mile to connect with and support its local community. By partnering with local businesses, using regional products, and becoming a vital part of the neighborhood, this award celebrates coffee shops that create a lasting impact beyond the cup.

Meet the Jury

Peter Duran

Peter is the founder and owner of Isla Coffee and part of the team at Minor Figures. With his strong focus on sustainability, he has become a key voice in bridging specialty coffee and environmental responsibility, making sure both always go hand in hand.

Anna & Danny

Anna and Danny work as Barista Market Developers for Oatly. Both have been passionate about coffee for years, so turning that passion into a job was an obvious step. They love everything about coffee – from talking about it and organizing events to supporting fellow coffee professionals – and bring that enthusiasm into lifting up the specialty coffee scene wherever they can.

Kerstin Riedel

Kerstin is the founder of Riedel PR and has long been a leading figure in putting culinary culture in the spotlight – from Michelin-starred restaurants and historic beer gardens to cutting-edge food start-ups. A native Berliner, she is deeply rooted in the city’s gastronomy and food scene, bringing exactly the right instinct to the Coffee Week Berlin jury.

Marius Hoppe

Marius is one of the Co-Founders of Beany, the free app that helps you find specialty coffee shops in more than 1,800 cities worldwide. Beyond developing and coding the app, he works as a Creative Producer and is the Managing Director at VISIONARY Berlin.
